DAY 1: Arrival at Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), where your driver-guide will meet you for a private transfer to your lodge in Arusha.
Take time to settle in, relax, and acclimate to the Tanzanian environment after your long flight.
Enjoy a welcome dinner and an evening briefing about the safari adventure ahead.
Spend the night at a lodge, with options ranging from comfortable guesthouses to luxury accommodations, all offering a peaceful evening before your wildlife journey begins.The Arusha area provides a serene setting at the foot of Mount Meru, with the distant peak of Mount Kilimanjaro often visible.
Use this day to prepare your camera equipment and have an easy introduction to the local culture.
DAY 2: Tarangire National Park
In the morning, you will be picked up from the lodge in Arusha by our safari driver guide. Start drives to Tarangire National Park on a good tarmac road across gently rolling Maasai plains with scattered acacia trees. On the way, you will see many Masai in their colorful dresses walking on the roadside, riding bicycles, herding cattle, and driving donkey carts.The park is well known for its large elephant herds, but it is also host to a multitude of other creatures. Experience the seasonal swamps, savanna and life-giving Tarangire River, endeavoring to encounter a multitude of creatures, from zebra to wildebeest, buffalo, elephant, and giraffe, to name a few. If you are lucky, it is possible to see lions stalking prey or leopards watching, relaxing in the trees above.
DAY 3: Lake Manyara National Park
After your breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive at the park and then back to the lodge for an early dinner. After dinner, you will have a night spotlighting game drive in the park and then back to the lodge for the overnight.
Manyara provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. More than 400 species have been recorded, and even a first-time visitor to Africa might reasonably expect to observe 100 of these in one day. Inland of the floodplain, a narrow belt of acacia woodland is the favored haunt of Manyara’s legendary tree-climbing lions and impressively tusked elephants.
DAY 4: Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, proceed to a morning game drive in Ngorongoro crater. Its a full day drive with a picnic lunch. Late afternoon, we`ll be back to the lodge for dinner and night The jewels in Ngorongoro`s crown is a deep, volcanic crater is a breathtaking natural wonders. We will visit lake magadi, a large bu shallow alkaline lake in the southwest corner, which is the one of the main feature of the crater. A large number of flamingos, Hippos and other water birds can usually be seen here.
DAY 5&6: Serengeti National Parks
Early breakfast at the camp, followed by an early morning river game drive to view the great migration on crossing movement, with picnic lunch. In the evening back to the camp for dinner and overnight.
The park is well known for its healthy stock of other resident wildlife, particularly the “big five”, named for the five most prized trophies taken by hunters: Lion: the Serengeti is believed to hold the largest population of lions in Africa due in part to the abundance of prey species. More than 3,000 lions live in this ecosystem. African Leopard: these reclusive predators are commonly seen in the Seronera region but are present throughout the national park with a population of around 1,000.
DAY 7: Serengeti to Zanzibar
Farewell to Serengeti National Park as you transfer to Arusha airport for your Scenic flight to Zanzibar airport on the Tanzanian islands
Upon arrival, you will be warmly greeted by your experienced safari guide/driver to your exquisite lodge in Zanzibar island
DAY 8: STONE TOWN
Spend the morning walking through the labyrinthine streets of Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Your guide will explain the town’s history and its mix of Arabic, Indian, and Swahili architecture. Visit the Old Fort, the House of Wonders, and the bustling Darajani Market.
Take a 30-minute boat ride to Changuu Island, commonly known as Prison Island. Here you can see and interact with the Aldabra giant tortoises, some of which are over 100 years old. The boat trip often includes time for snorkeling.
DAY 9: Jozani Forest and Spice Tour
Head to Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park for a nature walk. This is the best place to see the rare and endemic Zanzibar red colobus monkeys. You’ll also explore the park’s mangrove forest via a wooden walkway.
Spice Tour. Visit one of Zanzibar’s famous spice farms. Your guide will show you and explain various spices and exotic fruits. You’ll be able to touch, smell, and taste spices like cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and vanilla.
DAY 10: Safari Blue boat trip
Full day activity: This is an unforgettable marine adventure. You’ll board a traditional wooden dhow and sail to the Menai Bay Conservation Area. The day includes:
Snorkeling in pristine coral reefs.
Relaxing on a sandbank that emerges from the sea at low tide.
Enjoying a delicious Swahili-style seafood BBQ lunch on Kwale Island
DAY 11: Mnemba Atoll Snorkeling and Diving to Arusha
Take a private boat to the Mnemba Atoll marine conservation area off the northeast coast of Zanzibar.
At the morning enjoy fantastic snorkeling or scuba diving with abundant marine life and vibrant coral reefs. Dolphins are often spotted swimming near the atoll, and if you are lucky, they may swim alongside your boat.
DAY 12: Departure
Enjoy a final relaxed breakfast at your hotel facility.
Depending on flight schedules, there may be time for souvenir shopping.Transfers to Kilimanjari International Airport will be arranged for departure, carrying memories of the Tanzanian safari and beach holiday.
